Keeping this blog up while I'm visiting my mother in the States for her 97th birthday has been a challenge due to limited internet access. So please bear with my sporadic posts this week.
Today is a special day. My mother, a WWII vet, was born on this day in 1915. Today, this blog is set aside to honour her. No more words. Just pictures.

Goofing off. Note: all of us in our USA t-shirts
The birthday girl with her entourage: granddaughter, Stacey; daughter Ina Lou; great-granddaughter Corinnne
special placesettings for July 4th at the seniors' residence
Getting ready for the parade in her brand new, red white and blue sun hat
Handing out treats to celebrate the two birthdays: the US's 236th and Mom's 97th (She's got a ways to go to "catch up", eh?)
| Fife and Drum band
Happy 4th of July to all my readers wherever you are.
